‘Sunset Through the Western Stirlings’

This photo was taken from Mt Trio looking over the western Stirlings. The very windy conditions made for an ever changing light show, with rays shinning over the peaks.

'Bluff Knoll Cloud'

It is an amazing experience seeing cloud pour over the Stirling Ranges as moist air that blows in from the south. It pushes up and over the peaks falling down their faces to the north. Being up over 1000m at sunrise with this could streaming towards you and then down the peak faces beneath your feet is a truly wonder experience.

This species Western Australia's Floral Emblem, confined to the south west part of the state. One of my favourite flowers, every spring I look forward to seeing them bloom again around Perth.
